We love Barcelona as a city due to its location, cultural places and gastronomic offer. However, if we have to criticize something, it is the lack of “tapa” areas as it is already spread in other Spanish cities. It means, bars which offer free tapas when you order a drink. We have been looking for them. Although there isn´t a specific area, we´ve discovered some of them. Then, they exist and are becoming more and more...
Below, we show you the result of our research:
On Viladomat St, 85 located on Example Esquerre district, you will find the atmosphere as coming from the South in Ambientes del Sur, a simple but nice bar to taste its “tapas”. Every time that you order a drink, you receive a free “tapa”. As more drinks as you order, the “ tapa” will be better. The drink+tapa costs € 1.80.

Atrapatapa (Compte d'Urgell St, 77), is located in a small site of the Eixample and it is running by a Chinese family. Here, you can choose a “tapa” among several options with your drink. The price is 1.30 €.
In the lively “Gracia district”, you can go to DeDues bar (Torrent de l'Olla St, 89). The “tapa” is different each day. However, if you drink several consumptions, the tapa is the same. The price of the drink+tapa is 2 €.

There is also another bar in the same district called Pappa e Citti (Encarnació St, 38). The best in this district in our opinion is the Gata Mala bar (Rabassa St, 37). As in Ambientes del Sur, as much as you drink, you get better tapa. The owner is from Argentina and “tapas” are delicious. Besides, the place is also famous for its gintonics and the meat (entraña).

The Bar Laura (Tremp Pant St, 22), located in one of the steep slopes of the Carmel district, is another bar where you only pay € 1.20 for your drink+tapa. The best day of the week is on Sunday because the free tapa is paella.
The Bar els tres (Muntaner St, 55) doesn´t look this kind of “tapa bar” because of its serious face. However, it only costs 1.60 €. The tapa options are not really wide.

In Barceloneta district, you can enjoy those sunny days at the time that you taste free tapas at Café de los Angelitos (Almirall Cervera St, 26). This bar also offers free tango and Jazz shows on Wednesdays and Sundays.
If you want to continue the “tapas tour” in Barceloneta, you can go to Ca'l Chusco (Almirall Aixada St, 5), a small bar with only 8 tables.

Last but not least, you can find in the Gothic District, Bar Mingus (Comtessa de Sobradiel, 9), where you can order a cold Mahou beer accompanied by a free tapa.
These are the drink+tapa bars for the moment but We´re sure that we will discover more. We will inform you and for those people, who want to contribute, can leave a message with other free tapa bars. Moreover, there is on facebook the following Platform Pro free tapa in Barcelona.

There are also other bars in Barcelona without free tapa but they are strongly recommended. If you want to know about them, you have to wait for next post.

Así me gusta; que investigueis en vuestra propia localidad e informeis al personal. Porque ¿a quien no le gusta una buena tapita? y si va incluida con la cervecita, pués mejor que mejor. |
